PRESS: BC Home Magazine discovers goop & goob!
New store photos!
We’ve moved things around again! We normally do when we get new things in. goop & goob now has a clothing section. Featured in the photo below is the Tiny Minymo line (with some katvig jackets). More to come from mini mioche and Petit Lem in November!
Tiny Minymo clothing now in stock!
Minymo is a Danish company that designs smart and modern clothing for children. They are cleverly designed to mix and match, so single pieces of clothing can be combined to make several pretty sets.
Now available in-store! Items will be uploaded to the website shortly.
Sweet Spot for Petit Collage
During my huffin’ and puffin’ visit to the ABC show in Vegas, I met lovely Lorena Siminovich, the mastermind behind Petit Collage. Petit Collage is an amazingly unique and modern line of wall art and accessories with a vintage twist for children and the young at heart.
Lorena is a San Francisco-based illustrator, artist and designer. I instantly fell in love with her work! Being a graphic designer myself, I tend to gravitate toward beautiful design and Lorena’s work is definitely one I could not ignore. Stumbling upon her booth at the ABC Show was one of the highlights of my trip.
The feeling is mutual, I recently learned. Lorena “adores” goop & goob’s website and so I’m delighted to let you know that we’re now selling her decor line on our website: bamboo mobiles, prints on wood and acrylic mirrors. Her books In My Tree, In My Nest, and In My Pond are currently available in-store and online as well as her Deluxe Baby Book and Memory Box.
If you want the kind of design that will grow with your child, Petit Collage is your answer.
Say Hello to Goodbyn
It sure does stink when your sandwich tastes like a banana! Or what about this…Mom stuffs everything in your lunchbox and when you open it, all hell breaks lose! SPILLAGE! Does this sound familiar to you?
Listen up, peeps…let’s not do that to our kids. We want them to eat their lunch. Not someone else’s!
Without further ado…
Say Hello to Goodbyn: a better lunchbox, reinvented for kids, parents and our planet.
The Goodbyn lunchbox utilizes five compartments perfectly sized – and perfectly designed – to keep kids’ lunches from spilling, sloshing or mixing. Sandwiches won’t taste like your banana and your crisps won’t co-mingle with your cookies! Goodbyn keeps tastes (and moisture) separate. Lunch tastes like it’s supposed to.
Quick Facts:
- They are BPA and Phthalate Free, dishwasher safe and recyclable.

- They have a built-in handle for ease of carrying or hanging on a hook.
- Each comes with an 8.5 oz bottle.
- Comes with over 275 stickers so kids can make each lunchbox their own!
- Easy-to-open ears: Kid-tested, intuitively-designed animal ears make for easy opening.
- Made in the USA.
- Comes in 4 vibrant colours: pink, blue, red-orange and green.
- Made entirely of FDA-approved materials.
Be Green & Save Green
Goodbyn is a better lunchbox for kids that eliminates the need for excess plastic bags and drink boxes. By not using plastic bags and drink boxes, parents can save over $190 per year, per kid. It saves time, money and simplifies lunch-making. And what parent wouldn’t want that?
This is definitely a must-have! School has started but it’s never too late to make a simple change. Goodbyn will be available in goop & goob first week of November. They retail for $34.95 each. If you’re interested in doing a pre-order, please call us at 604.567.2020.

Never go to work by They Might Be Giants–we love!!!
I recently discovered They Might Be Giants’ “Here Come the 123’s” and my, my, it is so entertaining! This is the type of DVD that your kids will watch over and over again and one that you won’t get tired of hearing again and again! I found myself singing Never Go To Work to my husband and he seemed to have enjoyed it too!
What’s great about this DVD is that your children will truly enjoy it and not realize that they are learning tons at the same time! Great illustrations, awesome humour, definitely something different. It is a refreshing change in the Kids music scene.
Available in goop & goob soon! Other “They Might Be Giants” DVD/CD to watch out for: Here Come the ABCs and Here Comes Science (out middle of September in Canada).
Here’s a snippet from Here Come the 123’s. John and John present the days of the week with Never Go To Work.
